In this episode, I talk with one of my team members, Anna Listunova, about her perspective on war, work, and other related topics. Anna is an editor, content manager, and copywriter who’s been working in my team for half a year now. She shares her story about having big plans right before the full-scale invasion, where she was on the 24th of February, and why it was important for her to continue working during the first weeks of March. This is the first of two parts of our discussion.
In this episode you will learn about:
- how Anna was preparing to change her life during the last couple of years
- what she and others in Ukraine were going through weeks and months before the full-scale war started
- perspective on work and how it changed
- strong Ukrainian community on Twitter
- the decision about leaving the country and feeling shame about it
P.S. Anna told me after the recording how one of the important things she forgot to mention was that the war hasn’t started on the 24th of February 2022, and that’s what everyone should remember, Russia started the war in Ukraine in 2014.
Stay safe and #standwithukraine,
Anna
